Re: What is it about music?

Music is just like writing, but with melody. It's an opportunity for people to express themselves and pour their hearts out. When you listen to music, you tend to relate with singers who feel the way you do or who have opposite feelings. I think it's mostly about the feeling you get from music. I love music almost as much as I love writing. In fact, I listen to music sometimes when I write.

I think music touches us because depending on our mood we listen to different things. It helps us to express what we may not have the words for. For me personally it has helped me get though the death of loved ones and a really rough time in my daughter's life. It pulls my emotions out and helps me sort though them. It can even be used to change my mood and outlook on life. It pulls at my very soul.

For me it's the singer's voice that moves me, like Adele her sound is so unique and powerful it makes my mind explode

...certainly agree. Music sets a timeline on my life.

Music transcends space and time.

I think that describes best what music is and why we keep falling and making art.

I think its about the connection. Listening to music and hearing what the singer has gone through makes it relatable to us.

In general, I always thought I knew music, how it physiologically affects your body, what endorphins it stimulates, blah. And I thought my relationship with music couldn't get any better, but then this artist called Rachel Sermanni qcame Waltzing along and proved me dead wrong!
Music for me is something that take me to a level of such tranquility and deep peace that it sometimes makes me cry.

I think music is just so universal when it comes to who can enjoy it. There are an abundance of genres which makes it possible for pretty much anyone to find music that they feel they can personally relate to. I think music is just a really cool way to express ourselves and let our feelings out into the open which is so important.

It helps get me going or feeling better about myself. I also like to listen to while exercising or in my car.

Me too!! First I have to be feeling the vibe, and then if I can connect with the lyrics I'm addicted.

I think music is so important to so many people simply because of how relatable it is. I'm fairly certain that everyone can say they have related to the lyrics of a song before, if not multiple songs, and the fact that instruments and vocals are added makes it more interesting. Music is just something that people can easily become passionate about, no matter who the person is.

Music is a driving tool for many things. It can make someone do what they don't intend to do. It speaks to your emotions, soothing you or making you aggressive.

It's the tune and lyrics together that touch people. Music allows people to escape from reality and forget their problems.

For me it's when music is relatable that it's most powerful. I can listen to loads of songs and enjoy them but when they speak to something true then they're most powerful
