I think that what this thext wants to express is the paradox of being rational but also wanting to be happy. While being happy is a state of mind we can achieve knowing more or knowing less than anyone, being rational is a state of mind that can only be achieved by thinking. Being happy requires 0 effort, while being wise or rational requieres the effort of thinking.

So much information, yet so little wisdom. The more l learn, the more l realize how much more, there is to learn. There are lessons in my time, that l have had to relearn... sometimes more than once!
