Alex fell in love with practically every woman he met so he doesn’t need a girlfriend at this point. Eve was blindsided!

Looks are what seem to matter most with Alex. That's the first thought he has when meeting new girls, how they look.

The problem with the love interests of Alex Fine seem like plot points more than people. The only reason for these women in the story is to be used as a way to punish Alex for the poor choices he makes. I still enjoy the books, but the women in Superhighway and Superhighway 2 are little more than paper dolls.
