There are chapters in the story narrating the childhood of Alex Fine as he reminisces his past. What childhood experience do you remember?

My most memorable childhood experience is going on a cruise with my dad. We had a really good time even if the ship doesn't exist any more.

I had so many memorable experiences when I was a child, but the one that springs to mind now was a trip somewhere in a desert in the Northern Cape. We slept outside, kept warm by the fire, and used pieces of cardboard to go sandboarding - the dunes were especially beautiful and they had their own ecosystems too.

With your answer, I realized that trips are good and strong bonding moments of a family. While on a trip, each family member forgets his or her business commitment and focus on the trip. This is nice.

That is a tough one. I have many memories of my childhood. Easter egg hunts at my grandparents probably top the list. I can remember the year my uncle hid an egg on the roof. His mom, my grandmom, was not happy. It was rare that she was not happy on a holiday.

That was exciting! I also loved to egg hunts when I was a kid because our church leaders give a good sum of money to the winners. They usually hide four dozens of eggs with an amount labeled in each as a prize.

Hm...I would say my most memorable was going to Disney World with my family when I was about ten. Though it scorching hot in August, I will never forget this trip. :)

There are so many, but one that my mother also especially recalls is reading in our shared room before going to sleep as a kid. I think I was in elementary school and reading kids' books, and she was reading adult ones, and we both enjoyed those times.

My most memorable childhood experience was the first time I recited a poem on stage during my preschool graduation. I was only 4 years old back then! My Aunt had me memorize a piece I don't even understand.

Many memories come to mind. One, in particular, is when my mother would take me and brother to this awesome place designed for bike riding and we would play for hours while she waited for us. She even would car pool these other friends of ours just so we would enjoy it more.

Mine was to pretend to have a family and prepare the meal using the tin of tomatoes paste, build sand houses not castles and play games with my peers and also sit outside under the moonlight to have our grandparents or other elderly ones tell us tales, these are very common among Nigeria children, am blessed to be one of them

While growing up, going to the park with my dad and my four brothers after mass was a Sunday ritual. We still have the pictures of those treasured moments of family time.

Thanks for the sharing. Close relationship between the elders and the young Nigerians is apparent. Your childhood experience is a lifetime memory.

Those precious moments when I used to go out & sit with my brother by the side of a lack and used to have food while chatting with him .
