Probably...
Harry Potter.
No. Percy Jackson.
No. Hunger Games.
No. The name of the Wind.

Have you tried the Belgariad series by David Eddings, or the Assassin series by Robin Hobb? I loved them. Also love your choices, but don't know The Name of the Wind. Who wrote it?

Then, I happened upon the Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb. It has turned into a 9 book series over the years, with the final book having just been released. If you me, these are the best ever fantasy series. My wife, who has gotten involved in many series agrees. I have read other books by David Eddings and Robin Hobb, but the story line of the Assassin and the Fool is one that I treasure most.

I am sure I am forgetting some but the series that got me started was the Xanth Series by Piers Anthony.

I read the first 8 books of the Wheel of Time. By then, the story had so many characters and story lines that it was becoming confusing. I kept hoping that the last book was the one coming out so I could finish reading the series. I think there are 13 or 14 books in all. I lost count and interest.
