For this month, I chose a fantasy/fairy tale since I love fantasy.kio wrote: 1. What made you pick the genre you picked?
I recently read (and may be re-reading as we speak ) Beauty and the Beast Novelization. I absolutely loved it! It has brought back memories of the numerous times I watched the animated movie as a child. This book, adapted from the 2017 movie version, has so much more.kio wrote:2. What book did you read? I loved how we get to know more about Belle's and the Beast's backstories. Also, I loved how Belle was an inventor, on top of a reader and a one-of-a-kind young woman in a small French village.
The only thing I didn't like was not learning the Beast's name.
The fact that it is my favorite fairy tale, even though it has changed quite a bit over the years. I feel Belle is a wonderful role model to girls; she has so many good qualities.kio wrote:3. What stood out about the genre you picked?
