Re: What is your greatest fear?

The fear of losing my family is definitely a big one for me. I'm always nervous when my husband and son are away from me, especially if they're taking a drive. My entire world is in that vehicle, so I become a nervous weirdo and worry about them like crazy.
Whenever you read a good book, somewhere in the world a door opens to allow in more light. :techie-studyingbrown:

I'm a little scared of everything. Some things on my list are failure and needles.

Superficial answer? Turning on a lightbulb after I change the light. I've had one shatter on my head once and now it's terrifying to change a lightbulb.

Realistically? I'm afraid of being alone. Some people have a 'safe space', but I have a group of 'safe people' who I can turn to in a bad situation and I know that they will be there for me. I am terrified of losing that.

My greatest fear is losing my son and husband. I'm pretty afraid of death in general, and have been since I was a kid. My grandpa was murdered and that didn't help the situation much.

Another fear that I have is the fear being completely alone. I like having my solitude but at other times, I need to be around people.

My greatest fear is losing God in eternity. Losing my physical life is scary but facing eternal damnation is, I believe, what we should all fear the most.

I have lots of small fears (rats, snakes), but my biggest? Is that I won't be missed or won't have made any kind of impact when my life is done.

Echoing others, my greatest fear is that I won't fulfill my purpose for being here.

My greatest fear would be to lose everything I have worked so hard to achieve. However, being who I am, I think even if that happened, I would still find a way to fix it.

Ditto! This is my greatest fear as well.
I try not to think about it often, but I do fear losing my husband and family, as well.

Fears can range from things like phobias to elements in a dream, but I think the non-tangible fears like not leaving a legacy in your lifetime or having no one miss you when you are gone really give you pause for thought. In saying that, watching movies about possession scare the daylights out of me! And if I'm being honest, being in an accident where I lose my senses like sight or hearing and having to rely on someone to take care of me. I'm not big on change so that would be terrifying. Or being burnt to death (oh my gosh I'm being morbid today!).
A thought-provoking post. I agree. We have different fears. Sometimes, we are not even aware that the thing in front of us, is the source of our fear.

My biggest fear has always been and continues to be the fear of failure! Even though I've failed before and obviously survived and come out on top times after that, it still scares me very much!

I also have a fear of losing my family as well. My family are very important to me and I would be devastated if I ever lost them.
