Do you still read children books? I sometimes pick up a Goosebumps book or some other book from my childhood to pass time. What about you?

Yes! I love children's books and YA literature alike. For a long time, whenever my children were assigned books for school I would read them too. I don't always have time for that now, but I really enjoy them...many children's books are very good quality, and the illustrations are usually engaging, too.

I do as I sometimes read them to my son. I love YA literature as well.

I don't really read children's books anymore. I do still like to read young adult books though. It's nice to pick up something simple and quick to read every once in a while.

Absolutely! I love reading both children's and young adult books.

Something we do now is listen to children's books as well as YA books in the car. The public library has tons of them, and they are a welcome break from the familiar sounds of the radio. It keeps us all interested, and gives us things to talk about later as well.

We recently listened to Weekends With Max and His Dad...an entertaining book about a young boy's experience going to his dad's new apartment and having adventures on the weekends. It's a non-threatening way to open up a conversation about other kids who experience a single-parent household, or parents who don't live together anymore. And it has lots of funny parts to boot!

Absolutely. For a while I had given them up, but lately I have just been in the mood for some more simpler stories and have been going back to my old favorite children's books. I just recently started reading the Heartland series and the Magic Tree House series, which were two of my favorite books series when I was little. I hadn't read them in years and for some reason they just sounded good. It feels good to sit down with a book that is simple and you know won't be too dramatic and just have some fun. Sometimes I find these stories more entertaining that adult books.

I'm with a lot of others in that I do not read children's books anymore, but I will pick up a YA story every once in a while.

I often read both in the YA and children's genres, though not typically this young. I'm presently rereading all the Harry Potters (I'm currently on Prisoner), and have recently been catching up on a series I started as a kid.

Also, The Neverending Story is one of my all time favorite books!

No. Recently reread the Harry Potter series, but that's about it. Other than returning to old childhood favorites I don't see myself reading children's books.

Oh yeah I still read them. Mostly books meant for young adults or teenagers though. But recently I've been rereading the Series of Unfortunate Events series, and they are meant for younger children. I still find them enjoyable.

I do occasionally revisit favorite childhood series. Although now that I have children of my own, I definitely read childrens books a whole lot more. I look forward to introducing them to my favorites!

I still read children's books, though now I get them read to me by my children. I also like the young adult genre. My favourites are Harry Potter, Skulduggery Pleasant, Hunger Games.

I have two sons aged 8 (today!) and 11, and I regularly read books that they get particularly excited about. My older son is reading The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas at school this year and we've had a lot of discussions about Hitler, anti-semitism and other things because of it.

I also recommend them books that I loved as a kid and love to see them discover the same stories that carried me away to wonderland. My younger one has just started Harry Potter and is convinced he's going to get a letter from Hogwarts one day!

Every day! I work at a preschool at sometimes am lucky enough to read the same book three times in a row!
