Some people think the ending was not a cliff hanger and others do.
What is your opinion? What made it not cliff hanger and what made a cliff hanger?

personally I don't think it was a cliffhanger. The demon was defeated and there were was no huge surprise waiting at the end. the issue about the dagger and Abigail's trial weren't delivered in a way that left me itching to get my hands on the next book.

I believe the cliffhanger was more so what was going to happen at Abigail’s trial with the Council. At the end of the book, I was looking forward to that and to see if Haatim was going to address his father about his secret life.

It was definitely a cliff hanger. I really want to know what happens to Haatim and Abigail after that. Will they really executing Abigail? Will Haatim continue his journey in a world filled with demons? Can Haatim stop his father from executing Abigail? There are so many unanswered questions.

It wasn't such a cliff-hanger, everything was settled for the current story, but it did leave you with questions about Arthur and what will happen.I find that nice but not so much to call it a cliff-hanger.

It was a cliffhanger for me. I want to know what the deal is with the dagger, how the trial is going to play out, and I'm really hoping to get more explanation as to what Arthur did before we were dropped into the story with him already in a cell for some as yet unknown crime.

It was a cliffhanger ending, without a doubt. Both the dagger and the Abigail trial thing are totally open for a future delivery to delve. If it had closed after the final battle with the demon, even if some things were left open to interpretation or were not fully explained, at least it would have served as a bit more complete ending.

It was definitely a cliffhanger, all through the book, I was looking forward to a chapter on Arthur and reading about him in action again. The character is really fascinating and the way his mind works is so intriguing. Then there is the issue of Abigail's execution, Haatim coming out of his shell and even Aram's deal with the demons. I can't wait for the book 2

I believe a lot of things were left wide open at the end.

It was a cliffhanger for me because after reading, I was so curious about the dagger and who stole it. What was the plan why they took Arthur and will Haatim feel that it was his calling and choose that path of the road? So many questions and anticipation to read the second book! 😊

Yes. I thought it was a cliffhanger ending. It is book one of a series though, so the author is obviously continuing the story. I actually am looking forward to the second book at some point. Very interesting!

I think it was a cliffhanger because the reader was left with the crave for more of the story. Who was the person who tried to kill Haatim and Abigail? Where really is Arthur? What is it that Abigail found out about Aram? Why is Haatim so important? and million other questions are popping out and I need answers!

That was my take on it too. Hopefully the subsequent installments address these questions.
