I don't think I'll be reading the next books in the series, but here's what I wished I could have seen more of:

Arthur's escape from hell by bargaining/defeating the demon overlord.
Abigail destroying the Council.

I have a feeling Haatim's dad may have made a deal with a demon with regard to his daughter and Haatim's sister. What I mean is that for a member on the council to abandon his principles it has to be a situation he was desperate about and its said he refused all medical treatment for her.

I still need to read more on it to get a good view on the bigger picture of the story.
