What exactly is an Agnostic Athiest?K1V990 wrote:I questioned it long ago and have since become an Agnostic Atheist. I acknowledge that religion had its place in times where humans didn't yet understand the vastness of the universe, but in an age where we have scientific information at our fingertips, I find it hard to imagine that anyone still "believes" in any God(s). It is an interesting historical subject, in fact it was my favorite college course, to learn about all of the different religions, their origins, and how similar they all are. I always encourage people to open their minds and subject themselves to different cultures and their histories because religion continues to divide us.
I think the very same way. I took some Eastern religion courses in college to try to get more exposed. I sometimes think it would be nice to attend other religions' places of worship, to see what it's like. I think the main reason people believe in God is one, it was instilled in them as a child, and two, they feel a (perhaps spiritual? perhaps imaginative?) presence and they associate it to a god.

This states that he even does not question existence of god.
In my opinion, I trust the almighty.

That's fair. I think being open-minded and questioning things before believing in them are good characteristics to have.Samantha_254 wrote:I have never stated "yes, I believe in God" or "no, he doesn't exist". Until there is solid evidence that he does exist or not, I will remain opened-minded but I do question it.

Waiting for solid evidence that disproves or proves something is good. I do that, too.jimthorne2 wrote:I'm still waiting for solid evidence for the non-existence of God. It's kinda like don't think about a pink elephant.
Just so you know, when currently replying to others, I'm not referencing you. Not sure if you thought that or not, but decided it's probably better to address it. I'm just responding how I normally would, with affirmation and my honest opinion.
I also wanted to thank you. In our discussions before, I got to explore the pov of someone with a very different way of thinking, and I learned a lot. So thank you.

I genuinely believed once upon a time but not anymore because I realized that a lot of information/facts points to religion/God and the whole spirituality thing being man-made to fill a gap for what we don't know and can't 100% assert in life as well as to give hope etcLest92 wrote:God seems suspiciously man-made to me - I never was able to believe it anyway.
