When I think of immortal characters, I immediately think about the gods from either Greek or Norse Mythology. My favourite from each would have to be Loki and Hermes! They both have very distinct roles in their respective mythologies and I thoroughly enjoy hearing about them.

Lucy...? Is Lucy considered immortal? If so, she is my forever all time favorite.

Peter Pan is a brilliant immortal character, I mean it's not every day that you get to read about an immortal child/youth. Most immortals are such serious, powerful beings, and I love the fact that Peter Pan well still taking part in daring adventures, is only a kid. The fact that he chooses a dangerous encounter with Captain Hook over playing it safe, and enjoying the wealth of immortality, really makes him something special.

I'd have to say that, although many people have pointed out that the Doctor isn't technically immortal, he still is my favorite. It seems to me though, in most cases that even if a being is immortal, there are still ways to kill them. Such as the many wonderful vampires out there. Wolverine seems to be one of the ones that doesn't apply to, he's just simply amazing in his own right.

Acheron Parthenopaous from the Dark-Hunter novels (Sherrilyn Kenyon) has to be my favorite. I've read several immortal-type books, and Ash still stands apart to me. I adore his relationship with his "daughter", Simi.

I have to say, my favorite immortal character is Sun Wukong, otherwise known as the Monkey King from classic Chinese folklore. He's one of the primary characters in the story Journey to the West. He's one of the most audacious, coolest, and most intense butt-kicking characters in all of fiction. In the story he turns the realm of the immortals upside-down, loses a fight to the Buddha and ends up locked up underneath a mountain for 500 years as a result, is rescued by the Bodhisattva Guanyin and becomes one of the companions of the Tang Priest on his journey to retrieve the scriptures from the Western Heaven. Along the way he fights and defeats a large quantity of demons and other monsters along the way. I don't think any superhero can even compare!

Someone said Peter Pan and I was going to list him as my favorite too. Perhaps it is just the kid in me lol

Acheron in the Sherrilyn Kenyon books. He comes off as this hardass who doesn't care after all his years of suffering, but under all of that black leather and goth persona he is full of love he wants to give. He just needs to learn how

There's a lot of great immortal characters. Henry in the tv show Forever was great, as is Lucifer in the current Fox series. From books a lot of good vampires come to mind, like Anne Rice's characters and the characters in the Sookie Stackhouse series.

Henry from forever is an interesting character and I am still disappointed that they cancelled that show. My favorite immortal character is probably Edward Cullen from twilight. Actually I enjoy all of the Cullens in that story.

No one has mentioned him yet, and I know that some stories have him dying but in others, he is immortal. So, I'm going to say that my favorite immortal character is the wizard, Merlin. I love the early tales about him as well as the part he plays in Arthurian lore. Also, remember that tv mini-series, "Merlin," from the 90s? I loved him in that!
