I don't think there's anything humans do that animals don't also do (animals have emotions, they have their own logic) and there's nothing a computer can't simulate (yes computers can simulate emotions). Being human is paying into human society. We consider acts "inhumane" when they go against what we've all understood what we've defined as bad in our society and that varies from places and people. Even apes and elephants and merekats have society too and they pay into their own. We've defined ourselves as a certain thing and we can redefine ourselves if immortality happens.

Honestly I think integrity, morals and guilt will be the main emotions. But actually it's all of them. It's just a difference in being good or being bad.

I think our mortality and emotions make us human. The fact we feel things on such emotional levels we cry or rage when we feel them makes us human. Then the fact we know we will die make our emotions that much stronger.

I think we rose above animals and became human when we first learned to make fire and use it to our advantage. To make tools, to think in abstract terms, and to become smarter and smarter.

What makes us human beings is the intellect that we posses besides being mortal. We are different from other species of God's creation because we can do things differently and create new things.

I kind of don't agree. Every living being has emotions, but what makes us human is a belief system that is unique to each one of us. Something like that is developed by each one of us over time, and plays a role in the decisions we make. That's what makes us human.

It's the fact that we can empathize, thus enabling us to love and care for those around us. The true measure of humanity is the ability to view the world through another person's eyes.

I also agree with a lot that has been said - the ability to think, feel, adapt, and make choices makes us humans.
True.

Well, God says, "let us make man in our own image." Every other living thing was spoken into being, but man was formed from the dust of the earth and given dominion over all other creatures.

To me what make us a human is the way we perceived and reacts to our social environment
