Becoming a immortal? I don't think so. It's already such a burden living one life. Even the soul needs some rest.?
Most times, I fall flat on my face. But never do I remain on the floor; I rise again.

This is a question that has crossed my mind numerous times while reading. There is a series by Lindsay Sands, where they were made mortal over 2,000 years ago. So, it made me think, about being immortal and what I would do with all that time. I mean, if you are not going to die, you time to do whatever you want to do. Accomplish any dreams you may have. After a few lifetimes, I think it would be tedious. Not to mention lonely. Even if you have someone to share it with, after so many centuries, I imagine even they would get tired of you.

So, No, I would not want to become immortal. Accomplish dreams, and having the time to do it, sounds appealing, but after a while, living many different lifetimes, different lives, I would grow tired of it.

I am not sure. The idea of becoming immortal does sound interesting but.....

Please share your thoughts on this topic. ?
God has already grafted immortal experient for each one of us. Per your very hand you hold the key to life and ruin. Either drink from the red swish rather than blue, to be born anew.

Game theory helps pan down the testimonial admonition. Simple match with zero sum winning outlook abreast ascertained knowledge. Most facts are on paper; easily map out the nuts and bolts, despite lurking perceptual uncertainty.

It just dawned on me that one way of becoming immortal is to write a good book. Isn't Shakespeare still alive and well?

No, because our life is like a book. It starts with an ending. There's a characters and an author.

I would definitely become an immortal if given the chance. It would be so cool to be able to see how the world and societies change and adapt over time. There's also the added benefit of getting the rest of forever to be able to read as many books as I could possibly get my hands on! I would not be able to turn that down.

No I would not become immortal. I would hate to keep living as all those I know and love die around me. Immortal no. Time travel, healing powers etc... yes.

A hard choice, mainly because I would witness all of my friends and family dying. If my friends and family would be immortal with me, I would take it in a heartbeat. But even without my friends and family, I would probably still take it. Mainly because there are many things in the world that I would like to learn and appreciate, and I'm afraid one lifetime might not be enough to cover it.

Not a chance I would even consider it. Can you imagine the loneliness and heartbreak as you watch all those around you die? Life would become long and tedious and I am sure your mental health would take a beating.

I sincerely think immortality would be boring. After all, a sense of urgency and the possibility of no longer having tomorrow is what encourages us to live our lives. Being an immortal would mean a lot of time which would then be a prompt for people to start wasting it.

Great question by the way! ?

I wouldn't want to be immortal. It would be very devastating to see your loved ones pass away and you have to live on your own. I simply want to live a normal life. Yes, I may wish to live longer but not eternally.

No, living is already exhausting and an eternity of it just seems unbearable. I'd rather improve the quality of life rather than the length of life.
