Knowing that there are so many different solar systems out there, there HAS to be life in a couple of them. What I don't think will happen for the time being, is an alien invasion. I find that to be a little too extreme for this era.

I don't rule out what I don't know. Maybe there is something out there, but I doubt it is created according to the fancies of the human imagination. Its form (if there are anything out there) is something that we probably cant comprehend.

I can wrap my mind a lot of different ideas but I have never been able to believe in Aliens. At least not the way they are usually portrayed. I hate reading anything about aliens or even talk about it but I can read everything about vampires, demons, werewolves, and fairies. I think since aliens are more scientifically realistic, I don't enjoy reading about them as much. When I read, I want to get away from all realities of this world. I know the original question is do I believe in them and its a hard question. Would it make sense that they are real? Yes! We haven't discovered even a fraction of space so I cant say that I don't believe in them entirely. I just don't really buy into the idea that they are constantly watching us and want to take over our planet. We need to relax and not think we are the center of the universe.

There are crazy things in the ocean that we haven't even discovered yet, I think Aliens could definitely exist.

I would say that I am on the fence as to whether or not aliens exist. I do not think that it completely impossible. I think that if there was no possibility of aliens Area 51 would not be in the world. If aliens to exist it is definitely being kept a secret.

I'm with a lot of the people here, there is SOOOOOOOOO much out there! It would be absolutely crazy if life isn't out there somewhere, whether it's intelligent enough to create civilizations and eventually leave their own planet to explore or just basic bacteria and amoebas. I don't think it effects us here; I doubt there's some hidden hand from outer space influencing our lives, but really it wouldn't be the craziest possibility...

I feel as if there probably is life elsewhere in the universe, but that doesn't mean that life is the same as all the tales of aliens that we hear. However. the universe is huge and if there were life on another planet, we just may not be aware of it as of now.

I do think there is life beyond our planet. After all, the universe is vast and we've only explored a tiny portion of it.

From the viewpoint of mathematical possibilities, to not believe that there are undiscovered life forms (aliens) is pretentious.
From the viewpoint of one basic tenet of philosophy, we cannot think of nothing, we can only think of something we can picture in our mind. By definitions, aliens exist if only as a possibility in our minds.

Earth is basically just a dot in the entire universe, so I'd like to believe there are other life forms out there.

Personally I do not believe in aliens. I say this because I have always been someone who has to have some sort of proof of something in order to believe it. I am not saying only scientific proof but personal experiences or valid experiences from people I trust. It is hard for me to believe in other life but who is to say they are not there at all. I think that aliens have made good characters for books and movies, but personally no I do not believe in them.

Absolutely - there is Alien life out there somewhere. I think it'd be pretty naive of us to believe that we are the only planet with sentient life on it. The universe is infinite and mostly unknown - hopefully in my lifetime we will make contact with something.. anything. AND hopefully it's not hostile

Do you believe there are other life forms/aliens out there in space or are we the only ones? Do you believe they have an effect on our planet in any way?
I do believe that there are life forms out there. But I don't believe that
they would be in the forms portrayed by the fantasy movies of Hollywood!
