First book in the Nightlord series

Post by gali »

Did you know it is the first book in the Nightlord series? The other books are "Shadows", "Nightlord Orb". Are you going to read the other two books? The other books are long as well. I am not sure yet. I will decide after finishing the book.

I knew this was the first of a series, but I didn't know how many books were already published. I just finished the book yesterday, and personally, I do not plan on continuing the series.

Honestly, I do not see the reason why it had to be so long and felt that many of the supporting/secondary characters forgettable. There were times where I felt the whole reason for him entering the new world unfocused and Eric/Halar spent so much time doing other things that I wondered if we would ever find out if he ever gets his revenge or not. All in all, I do not plan on continuing.

I don't know if I will continue on. It will depend on if the book leaves off on a cliff hanger that I can't ignore

I didn't know about it at first. But after a brief look at the book and author's Amazon pages, I figured it out pretty quickly. Although, I was actually a bit worried at first that this might not be the first book. Once I started those fears were quickly abated though. That being said, I haven't gotten very far into the book, so I don't know if I'll continue with the series at any time in the future. So far it's looking up though.

I definitely agree. At this point, I'm thinking I will not be interested in reading the other books in the series, based on their length and my current interest in the first one so far. Still, I never like to judge a book like this until it's finished. I've had many a mediocre starting book blow me away with an amazing, to die for ending.

I am almost finished with the book and I have really enjoyed it. I like the flow, the pace and the characters. The length does not bother me as long as I am enjoying the story, I do not care how long it is. I will read the second book and see how it goes. I am not a series reader as I find that after a while they get very repetitive and easy to predict. I will venture on to book two and see how it goes.

I enjoyed the book but will most likely not finish the series. I too was worried that the storyline would not allow him to seek his revenge. I can't help but wonder if the other books in the series are written in the same method.

I just finished the book. I will not be continuing the series. The storyline was much too meandering and didn't catch my attention. The characters were interesting and I do care about Eric's fate, but ultimately I don't think I can read another 680 pages in which the huge majority of it was uneventful and ultimately unnecessary to the plot.

I am almost finished with the book and I believe I would be interested in continuing the series. I enjoy the world that Whited has created for us and since I know that further installments exist for the series, I am curious to know what happens to the characters that I have begun to know and in some instances love. I love Tamara's character and want to know more of her story and future with Halar. I also want to know why Tamara's deity is so enamored of Halar. I have a feeling that these facts will not be revealed in the mere three chapters that I have yet to read.

I have finished the book and did not think it was too long. I will be delighted to continue with the series. I really enjoyed the characters and was completely sucked in through the vortex that Garon Whited created.
Online Books has offered me the opportunity to become introduced to many more authors than I had previously been exposed to. Garon certainly has a talent and I wish him all the luck in pursuing it. I am a fan of this first book in the series and I'm sure he won't disappoint with the second book.

Yes, I came across the other two titles also in Amazon.
I guess after reading the first book, I will decide whether
to pursue the other two. Thanks for asking!

Vampires are not in my normal genres for reading. However, I really enjoyed the first book and will likely read on. I want to know if Eric/Halar ever goes back to modern times. I keep thinking he might bring Travis back to the other world with him.
Life without a good book is something MrsCatInTheHat cannot imagine.

I loved this book and will definitely be reading the rest of the series. I have already downloaded the books and they are on my to be read shelf. Although I have a few other books that I may read before hand, I will be reading them soon.

I'm pretty sure I have the other two books, but I won't be reading them right away. The first book took so long to read and I'd rather read other books first. I do sense what the overarching plot is of the whole series is based on the events of the first book, so I look forward to seeing what transpires.
