I have read a few different vampire books and have enjoyed all of them, but all of the books I have read all have a different take on vampires which I enjoy seeing.

I've read quite a few vampire series - Twilight, Vampire Diaries, Sookie Stackhouse series, Vampire Academy and some "almost vampire" series like Dark Hunter and now, the first installment of Nightlord. Till now, each series has had its on mythology and way of presenting. Its fun to see how authors give their own spin to such a widely used topic. In my teens, the romance element was more fun but now, I am starting to enjoy better stories, adventures and high stake action in vampire novels. The genre is definitely not dead. But something fresh and gripping stands out for sure.

To me, vampire books will always be it for me. Anything that has to do with myth creature like vampires, werewolves, and witches, you can count me in. So, it’s not old news.

The books and series I have read about vampires have almost all focused too much on the love and romantic relationships in the books. It almost felt like I was just reading the same book over and over. I think they could be great, if they found a new focus rather than romance.
I will have to agree with you on this one. You made a good point.

There are a lot of stories about vampires and each one introduces a new concept of their abilities I wish the could all stick to one so we can know how they actually work.

Due to the rate of vampire related movies I've seen, I think this plot line is quite becoming a cliché.
