Oh. My. Gosh.

I just thought to look at the page count for this book, and I'm, like :faint:

Perhaps this is why the second book is not yet written

There's quite difference between the pages count on bookshelves, and the page count on Amazon :eusa-think:

I found there is always a difference between the two for some reason. The page count on my kindle is 671 pages.

It's an interesting story, but personally, I think it is longer than it needs to be. I read fast and am having trouble getting through it. I think it's definitely worth the read, but be ready to invest some time.

I like it too. I agree that the author could have tightens some parts of the tale.

I just bought the book. Reading the interview with the author pushed me over the edge. ER Barr sounds a lot like my college advisor who is a Lewis scholar.

I will finish tonight. I usually read a book in a few days. This one took a couple weeks. It's a good story, just long. I think it could've been a bit shorter. I think you'll like it though.

I have read %80 of it and hopefully will finish it by tomorrow. I agree with Janetleighgreen that it is a good story but far too long. I believe fans of the genre will enjoy it though.

It wasn't too bad of a story for something I generally would not read. I actually found the ending quite nice so it is worth it to finish. It did take me a few weeks. Like I said before I had to jump to another book sometimes. I probably would not continue if their is a second book to the series but that is only because this is not something I would normally read. I gave it a try and am glad that I did. Just because I say that I will probably not read it again, doesn't mean that you shouldn't because you might have a different taste in books than I do.

I am also on the fence about reading this book. I was a bit put off by the length, even though the story looks interesting. It's a big commitment since I also belong to an in-person book club, read review books, and books of my own choosing. Added to the mix is I am still in the middle of last month's BOTM and don't want to continue to fall behind with future monthly picks.

Knowing your taste, I don't think the book is for you. 8)
