There aren't any cliff hangers in the book. Enjoy if you decide to read it!

I just finished Roan. I believe it is well-written. It could probably be tightened up a bit, but I believe it has enough depth "as is" to be considered actual literature. Some are having trouble with the pacing overall, but I found the mythology threads to be rich and intriguing. It sort of will depend on what sort of story you like to read... This does not end with a cliffhanger, per se, but there is obvious set up for the next book in the series. The specific conflicts introduced in the first book are all wrapped up nicely, which I appreciate very much!

Yes, definitely read the sample first. If you're like me, it will bother you if you start and can't finish. I keep thinking the characters are yelling at me during the night while I sleep, "Why did you abandon us?!?" It drives me nuts!

The Kindle edition on Amazon has a preview of the beginning of the book. It's the first few chapters of the book and is really helpful if you're not sure :tiphat:

I really like to participate in the book of the month with having so many people involved in the discussion, but I'm having a hard time getting committed to this one so far.
Whenever you read a good book, somewhere in the world a door opens to allow in more light. :techie-studyingbrown:

For those who've read it:
  • Does it end in a cliffhanger, or with other gnawing questions left unanswered?
  • Does anyone know if or when the second book will be out?
Please, no spoilers :no-spoil:

Thank you!
So, have you decided about reading Roan or not?

I'm planning to, though I can't say when. I've been refraining from most of the topics in here to stay away from spoilers :no-spoil:
I'm glad to know the next book is under way! That makes all the difference :D
