THE EASTER MAKE BELIEVERS BY FINN BELL is an action packed thriller. It is sure to linger in the mind of the readers for a very long time. I personally didn't feel like taking a break while reading this book. The writer has been able to perfectly connect all the aspects of the story. The characters are well developed. The story has been narrated from the perspective of Nick, a detective working under the Gang Intelligence Centre, a national inter-agency task force dealing in organised crime. Few chapters are also narrated from the perspective of a victim who seems to be facing the warth of his kidnapper. We also get a hint that a snowstorm is approaching.

Nick and his detective partner Tobe are headed towards a crime scene in the middle of the night. On reaching the spot, they learn that it is a hostage situation. A family of four has been taken hostage by five people. The police haven't been successful in persuading the bad guys to surrender and they are unaware to learn the motive of the crime as well. The bad guys have not been doing much inside the house. Police have surrounded the perimeter of the house and are preparing to take down the bad guys by sniper. All of a sudden there are two explosions in the house. The second one louder then the first.

The police break into the house and safely bring the members of the family outside. The police were unable to find the fourth member of the family. The fire-brigade suggested that the explosion might have torn him apart and since the explosion was very powerful, it might have left his body in pieces. They find that all five bad-guys were killed by the sniper. Later they find out that the explosions were caused by gas tanks exploding. Nick and Tobe enter the house and to their amusement, find that they recognise all the five dead bodies and says that they are all members of the Manga kahu gang. The investigation later reveals something which leads the police to believe that the fourth member of the family has been kidnapped. The police now have a tough job ahead of them, finding the kidnapper and rescuing the victim unharmed. But, with the snowstorm approaching which would block all the roads and pour more obstacles for the police, will they be able to rescue the victim before the snowstorm hits? Who is the kidnapper? What's his motive behind the entire crime? Who is the missing fourth member of the family?

We also get to learn about Nick's love interest, Maria. Whom he has been proposing for quite some time only to be turned down. Maria says him that she is willing to marry him provided he leaves his present job, which Nick refuses to do. This shows the love and sincerity Nick has towards his job and in serving the community.

I love how the thrill is injected into the readers by making them aware of the snowstorm at an early stage when the characters of the story had no clue about it. The writer has also included the role of the media which keeps the police under pressure and sometimes, the police are benefited from the media. The book will be loved by fans of suspense-thriller stories.

Not having found a single error in the book, I would say that the book has been professionally edited. I rate the book as it deserves 4 out of 4 stars. It is a fabulous story and I doubt anyone will regret reading it.
