The Lost Identity Casualties is a fast-paced, action-filled novel written by Kim Ekemar. This book revolves around the journey of an amnesia patient named Matthias Callaghan, who has no idea of his identity. This book consists of two parts. The first part portrays Callaghan's former privileged life while the second part portrays Callaghan's plans to carry out his revenge against the people who have caused him the loss of his identity.

The story begins with Callaghan recovering from a coma in an expensive hospital room with no idea of what has happened to him. As he gradually regains his memory, he finds that he has been mutilated and subject to a full face transplant. He also discovers that his father, ex-wife, business partner, the Russian Mafia and a lawyer is responsible for his lost identity. After undergoing severe mental depression, Callaghan finally decided to use his intelligence to track down these five people.

The Lost Identity Casualties is part of a septology of books. The best part of the book is that it has a unique storyline. In this book, Matthias Callaghan’s character was developed and layered well. The scenes relating to Callaghan’s plans to carry out his revenge against the people responsible for his misfortune were realistic. The author has done a great job in explaining the pros and cons of medical research in detail. I appreciate the author for his writing style which made the story easy to follow. I liked the climax of the story. The sudden twist in the story was quite interesting. Above all, I appreciate the author for providing in-depth information about the Russian Mafia to the readers while narrating the journey of the protagonist.

This book had an extensive list of characters which made it difficult to follow the story. If the author had avoided a few characters that were irrelevant to the storyline, the story would have been even more interesting. In some parts of the book, the dialogues between the characters were very confusing. I had to read and reread several paragraphs, again and again, to understand what was going on in the story.

I rate the book, The Lost Identity Casualties by Kim Ekemar 4 out of 4 stars as this book has been professionally edited. There were no grammar and punctuation errors in the book. The suspense factor keeps the readers hooked on to the book from start to finish. I recommend this book to those people who enjoy reading crime thriller novels.
