Going Gone is a brilliant, thought-provoking anthology of twelve captivating stories. These stories are unique in that they encompass a subtle close-knit theme. A single event in the Middle East triggers a chain of reactions that induces a catastrophic finale.

Prime Minister Saiid is assassinated. Although never an intended target per military scrutiny, it appears as if an American spy is responsible. Due to this assumption, the most powerful Anti-Western groups in the Persian Gulf region band together.

New York, a major target, is soon overcome by nuclear radiation fall-out. The President of the United States is thwarted in attempts to bring him to a safe bunker. There becomes blatant disinterest by a few people who are not close to New York. Meanwhile, the American Vice President viciously takes over - creating a new kind of chaos. When he is also assassinated, a struggle for power develops. A fearful warning by the military computer program - DaRWin - anticipates a strategic attack on the United States. The computer warning that an attack is imminent is ignored. In fact, a top military aide wants to take the program down. I guess that reading about, and being in that situation, after the fact, is quite an enigma.

A man in St. Louis has a premonition about a flaky snowball and a runaway train. Global nuclear war ensues. Tangerine Demon is utilized as a war initiative by the United States. This retrovirus mutates and becomes a phenomenal threat to the worldwide population. Apocalyptic dreams come true. Diversionary tactics abound.

Intelligent foresight and solid knowledge by the author make this book spellbinding.
Concepts are well thought through as is the subtle knitting of storylines. Dystopian, yet maybe not too far in the future?
All sides of the political spectrum are detailed with ease. Any reader will most likely embrace this wonderfully artful story. Virtually free of flaws, this book will appeal to readers of fiction, thrillers, dystopia, science fiction, and other genres of the like.

I found Going Gone to be a pleasurable experience and gladly rate it as 4 out of 4 stars.

This sounds like a great book and the review is engaging. I like the action verbs you used to capture the feel of the book.
