Short stories usually aren't my first choice (unless I'm short on time).
But, since I do like reading stories about vampires it sounds like they have original plots, not the same old, same old. For instance your comments " not only became the wielder of the cursed brush, but also a renowned artist. However, the question remains, at what cost?"
Doesn't sound like any vampire story I've read. Same with couple of the others. Interesting, may have to check it out.

The stories are really different. In fact, most of them do not have a vampire only. Hopefully you will enjoy it if you decide to pick it up. :D

Yup, it is interesting, especially when some of our choices match while some does not.

The book seems to contain fascinating stories. The title of each story is captivating. This even made me think the novel is a horror. Nice review!

I enjoyed the sample of this book and I think the style is original and I like the fact that these are short stories so you can get bite-sized pieces even when you don't have much time. However, I think this book is not for everyone. The author doesn't beat around the bushes and can approach some sensitive issues. I had a bit of a problem with the body-shaming presented in the first story and I've read some Christian readers have had issues with some other stories. I agree that the stories are not especially scary but more thought-provoking. But it's quite an enjoyable read!
