This seems to be as complex as a plot-driven fictional piece could get to be, but it's balanced through the use of two differing viewpoints for more in-depth characterisation. With the book's cover, I never expected it to be tinged with the supernatural, though. Nonetheless, thank you for another superb review.

There seems to be a lot happening in this book, especially about the Boston City Hospital. The fact that the characters are well developed makes it a great read. Fascinating review!

The plot does come across as a little too busy, but it's nice that the author has a rein over everything. Thanks for the introduction to this book!

Thanks for your feedback Espie! The book cover also caught my attention but I couldn't match it to the story.

Your reviews are always so long and thorough that it's quite impressive on its own. However, this review still left me somewhat wondering how big part does the religion play in this book. Sometimes I find that religious people get frustrated with books that take "liberties" with a topic important to them while agnostics or atheists can be annoyed in other ways. Of course, it's not possible or necessary to be liked by everybody.

This is an amazing review! You pointed out a few things that didn't cross my mind upon reading the book, so thank you for that. Slater does say 'swear to God' a lot. But he's also very lovable as a character so... I still like him haha I love how you expressed your opinion about the twist :) It did take me by surprise as well.
