Suspense, drama, action, horror, demons and the supernatural are but a few things that you will find in Raven’s Peak by Lincoln Cole.

Haatim Arison, a college graduate in theology, has lost his faith in God after the death of his sixteen-year-old sister. Haatim’s life is about to change drastically when he accepts an offer from a total stranger to take pictures of a woman (Abigail) stalking the stranger. Abigail Dressler, a trained demon fighter, lost her mentor, Arthur, and will do almost anything to find him and bring him back. In a strange turn of events, Abigail ends up saving Haatim from a dreadful fate. From there, they must work together to fight demons and save each other.

Abigail receives an assignment to investigate strange and mysterious happenings at a town called Raven’s Peak. After she learns about Haatim’s family connection, she has no choice but to take him with her. Together, they must face the danger and learn to trust each other to be successful. The question to ask is whether or not they will be successful in saving the townspeople of Raven’s Peak from forces that go beyond human understanding?

The prologue was amazing and I absolutely loved it. In the prologue, we get to meet Arthur, Abigail’s mentor. Arthur is a little bit eccentric, but also has a depth which I loved. Such a pity we did not get to spend more time with him.

The author did a masterful job in creating the two main characters, Haatim and Abigail. Furthermore, it was easy to connect with them, as they are likable and almost ordinary. They have substance, weaknesses, and strengths. There is enough background on them to understand them, and in the end, I was rooting for them to be successful in their mission.

The story is easy to follow and the writing is smooth, vivid and fast-paced. The author did a splendid job with the action scenes and settings with just the right amount of information to give you a picture. From start to finish, there are enough gory and action scenes to keep you on the edge of your seat. This is a brilliant story with a nice blend of drama and horror. Nothing about this story is boring.

What is there not to like about this book? The only thing I found a bit off-putting is that the epilogue only follows after “something about the author” and not directly after the last chapter.

I rate this book a 4 out of 4 stars. Once started, I couldn’t put this book down. It was an entertaining and fast-paced read. It captivated my interest and I am ready to find out what happens next in the following books of this series. If you are very squeamish, this might not be the one for you. I highly recommend this book to lovers of paranormal horrors.

The book is really captivating. This can be known from the nice review itself. I hope that the two were successful. On my side, my hope and probably the best ending would be Haatim regaining his faith in God again. Thanks for the nice review.

This is the type of book that I would love to read. I like novels that are full of suspense, action and intrigue. I'm adding it to my shelve right away. I would specifically love to know more details about Hatiim towards the ending part. Great review.
