Good review! I had read this book and while I enjoyed reading it, I felt that the author could have given more screentime to Adam and Calder, rather than expounding on the sisters' part. I also felt the romance was too sweet. :P

Yes, Adam and Calder could have got a bit more screen-time. However, I liked to read about the sisters' bond as well. Thank you for stopping by. :)

No matter how bleak life may seem, there's always hope. It seems like this book has the romantic tinges, optimism, and life lessons that I used to cherish from the books of my young adult years. Thank you for your highlighting the good parts of this piece.

Crazy exes always spice up things! The love story between Calders and Adam seems interesting. I'm also impressed by the sisters' strong bond, despite the dysfunctional family unit they came from. I like that the author chose to spin it that way, instead of the 'everyone for herself' mayhem that would have naturally ensued. Great review!

Thank you :) . I agree with you. The strong bond between the sisters made this book all the more interesting.

Romance books aren't usually my first choice but it sounds like there was so much more to this book I may just end up reading it. The fact that the organization she built from ground up for charity instead of just being "another rich girl with too much time on her hands", sounds like there was a lot more to the story. Great review!

Generally, I am not a fan of romance, but I have sampled this book and found it unique. The strong bond between the sisters, rather half-sisters that you mentioned was something I found wonderful. Thanks for the enlightening review!

Mysteries and romances are my two favorite genres, so this book is right up my alley. I like that it portrays so different characters and their relationships and that, as you say, they're not just type characters. I'm not always fascinated by love-at-first-sight stories, but it seems like the romance is well-developed and goes further than "sparks flying".
This book will go to my to-read shelf. Thank you!
