The book Chrome Mountain is science fiction authored by Ben Schneider. It has its setting in the United States of America. Chrome Falcon is gang that terrorize American citizens. In terms of technology, they are one step ahead of the government and causes all sought of trouble to the police. The police can't keep up with them. Chrome Falcon are on a mission to capture the best American brains and incorporate them into their association. Trey is one such person. They go forth in pursuit of him while he travels to the countryside.
Trey is the leading character. He had come up with deadly innovation, a weapon of mass destruction. The only person aware of his invention is his girlfriend. Little did he know that she was a member of the Falcon Chrome gang, an organization to whom she reveals Trey's invention. She is the reason Chrome Falcon learns of Trey's invention and go in pursuit of him. They want to exploit such invention to their advantage and become more powerful.
I hated the materialistic nature of the women in the novel. Women are majorly concerned about money and what it can buy. For instance, Sonya defies his grandmother and joins the biker gang with the hope of making it in life. Who doesn't know that gang members make money by stealing from the innocents? Moreover, she steals from the gang leader lots of cash before her eventual dissertation. The same materialistic personality is witnessed in Trey's girlfriend behaviour when she leaves him for destroying his invention. She had hoped they could make lots of money from his invention. She doesn't even say a goodbye. What an insensitive person!
However, I was awed by Trey and Sonya's fighting spirit. Their determination to break free from the Falcon Chrome gang is immeasurable. They are tactical in their dealings with the gang. I really loved the manner of their escape and plotting the gang's downfalls. That need persons with guts. Ordinary citizens do it every day.
All in all, I loved the book and would give it an honest 3 out of 4 stars. The book is simple, well written, proofread and has no typo or grammar errors. I rarely came across any error. It was more like a book perfectly written and edited. I would recommend it to persons who enjoy thrilling film and novels. However, this book is not for the faint-hearted.
