I've read this book. I liked Suzi. I was a little disappointed with the small part she had in it. Glad you enjoyed the book too.

I enjoyed your review. This book was not my cup of tea as I found it quite confusing but it's always interesting to see how different people react to a story.

I am glad you liked the book. I have read the second book of this trilogy and this character named Suzi was introduced there. It was evident that she would be part of a grand scheme, and reading your review just confirmed that. Thanks for the honest review!

This book is clearly not what I'd be inclined to read at this point. However, like you, I also like to focus on the "lessons" to be learned in everything and everyone. It is one thing to know, but it is not always right to judge somebody else unless it's required for one's profession. No matter how all-knowing we might come to feel with all the technological advancements more common nowadays, we would always be less omniscient than what's ideal to do that. Thank you for your honest and thought-provoking review.

I have not started this series. It seems that the last book wraps up the series quite nicely.

Thank you for the great review.

In reading every book, I have this tendency to look for takeaway(s) or for a lesson learned. My takeaway from this book is we need to be grateful for the small victories that we have won as our way of appreciating all of our efforts that we have put into, but that should not be the reason for us to be complacent; The opposition is always on the move. Thus, we must always be on guard.
I reviewed this book too and I find your perspective so interesting! I love the message you got from the story and I agree with you that the way all the sensitive topics are approached in the novel is commendable.
Suzi is an overlooked character (as is Pat) but I think she's awesome too!
Thank you!

It's an interesting thing to notice the lack of street and place names. I would not have noticed a detail like that at all! I tend to look for the moral implications in everything I read and sometimes I feel like it's only visible to me and that I'm makimg them up, but it seems like you have an eye for capturing the intended essence. Really great review, I enjoyed reading it!

Believe you me, if you read a book and you gain nothing you are a little less than dead. Thanks for this nice review.

This is an interesting book. I specifically love the fact that the author took out his time at great lengths in developing a really nice characters with lots of twists and turns thereby making the novels to be intriguing. I will probably love to read the book someday. Thanks for the great review.

I read the first book in the series. So, I'm a little bit invested in Anna and Rafe's story. Even if I liked the story, it contained too much erotic scenes for my liking. So, it's great to hear that in this book it's kept to a minimum. So, thanks for the insightful review.

I've reviewed this book as well, and I do agree that the author should've talked more about the setting. :tiphat:
