" Because of this, the scenes felt like they were just plopped in. I will admit to a bias here on this one, as I am not a fan of the romance genre. It is entirely possible this style is completely normal. I have therefore disregarded this objection when I considered how I would rate the book, but it bothered me enough that I felt it was worth a mention."--I've read a lot of romance novels and totally love them. The bedroom scenes in this book were not on par with the NY Times bestselling authors at all. They were very poorly done.

You were spot on with how I felt about the book. Certain aspects were rushed, while others were so beautifully done. I would have loved more detail about the couples of the past.

Great review.

Overall, I enjoyed the book very much. However, your analysis is quite thorough and I think the criticisms you make are justified. Maybe because I do enjoy the romance genre, I didn't find them as troublesome. I had read previously in other reviews the issues you mention with the dialogues and language, I may have had a problem catching these subtleties because English isn't my native language. I'll have to pay more attention.
Thank you for such a thorough and concise review.
