Thank you Liftedbooks for your interesting review. I am a fan of steampunk and have even cosplayed in costume, so this sounds like a book that I would like. It has steampunk, mysticism, and a young heroine to save the day. Congratulations on being chosen as BOTD.

A reading of the sample did draw me in; however, I won’t read further due to the elements of mysticism and graphic content.

You did a good job on your review. This book is about a young woman named Juanita who seems to have inherited the family trait of being able to speak to the dead, or at least her ancestors. She receives assistance from her grandmother, who died trying to protect her as a baby. This book has an interesting mix of mysticism and steam punk.

The book had a strong and promising story line. I agree with you that the author has captured every scene with her words perfectly. While I was reading the sample, I found myself being drawn to the cave as well. I really hope she can save her people.

Steampunk sounds a bit out of my comfort zone. I do like how the plot of the story sounds. The part about the elderly woman saving her great-granddaughter with the help of her husband’s ghost sounds pretty interesting. I might have to read this if I get the time!

Wow..nice review, although this is a totally new genre for me but I surely enjoyed the review on it. I guess I fall in the category of people who would love to read this book.

The premise of the book seems interesting, but the graphic nature is going to make me skip this one. It does sound like the author has a great writing style, though. Thanks for a fabulous review.

Great review. I’ve never read a book in the steampunk genre before but the premise of this one does sound intriguing. The content of rape and abuse however does sound like something that people with triggers on these issues would be best to avoid this one. Thanks so much for sharing.

Sounds like a book I would enjoy very much. The plot seems to be intriguing. I'm glad to know it has a sweet ending because I don't like sad endings very much.

I have never had of steampunk genre before, but it really sounds great. The story follows the life of a young girl who was saved by her grandmother from a certain dead. Like her granny she is able to speak to her ancestors. Junita the main protagonist is tenacious and bold. She is also loyal to her family and her calling which is the most admirable characteristics a person.

This is an interesting steampunk novel! I love that the main character can communicate with her dead ancestors. It sounds like the author did a great job with descriptions and has well-developed characters. Congrats on the book of the day! Great review.

Juanita's story does sound complex and intriguing. I'm afraid the gratuitous sexual violence will keep me away. You have written a beautiful review of this book. Thank you.
