The Different Kinds of monsters By Seth chambers.

Is there really an atonement for an unforgivable sin? Are there really monsters in this world, who call themselves men ,but yet they are the worst kinds of monsters? Is there anything supernatural that we cannot fathom or rather is unfathomable? And what was it like millions of years ago in the Jurassic period where huge giant beast known as dinosaurs roamed the earth and where at the top of the food chain? And how does it relate to life today in this century? For a thought this was what Seth chambers, a prominent author in the field of writing, who is also the author of other books such as little Bird, we happy few, and also morning and Night, had in mind when creating this Sci-fi (science fiction) book, but in the process relayed romance, psychological breakdown, and of course perversion. By intertwining the behavior and development of a man in the 20th century with that of a pre-historical beast.

In this piece of work the author replays about an Allosaurus a dinosaur, who had the sense of being brought into the world to be dominant and always remain first no matter what stood in its way as it grows and lives and learns to survive, being intertwined with the life of a boy named Dylan Armitage the son of Tom Armitage, who is somewhat the protagonist. But in this book there is really quite no major Antagonist apart from of course the Allosaurus and ranging from his school teacher down to someone so close to him. As things unfolds, Dylan growing up with a prehistoric beast as his companion and protector, having an imaginative mind he finds it really hard to believe that she is real, But as the mystery is unraveled and him having become so intertwined with her, also his family being nomads and still she appears yet anywhere he goes, which causes him to loose sense of it being abnormal, and even learns to accept it not knowing that there is something mysterious and supernatural about her, Emily(The Allosaurus) and how she came to be. Will he (Dylan) understand what his father has been telling him about the different kinds of men? And is his companion Emily really who he thinks she is? Will he protect his family? And what will happen to this Dinosaur which is much more complex and supernatural than a simple museum attraction.

Well I would say the book is very good and makes readers want to read more with its addictive chapters and suspense. But if you are looking for a Sci-fi book with a certain amount of perversion and of course some supernatural touch, this should be the first book in mind. As the author shows resemblance between human and prehistoric beasts, and how human can even become worse than the monsters they fear. As Dylan who is later corrupted just like the people he finds in his childhood just like his school teacher, his friend he calls Ty and many other people. The author also when portraying the parts of the prehistoric beast portrayed the with a sense of ordinarity of their life, but portrayed the humans, especially where lust occurs with a much more darker tone, actually showing that we humans are more monstrous than they are.

The authors style of writing is actually conversing, he somehow converses with the reader which is a brilliant tactic, as he also showcases three parts of this piece of writing the present from of Dylan, when he was a growing up child and also the growing Allosaurus, which later merges as one which is another good tactic on his part. He also portrays how both Emily and Dylan are the same. Being innocent as infants but as they grow their surroundings toughens them up and changes them, for Emily was the fact that her mother left her to fend for herself in the cruel world alone, while Dylan was the people he met around him that somehow changed him from playful imaginative kid who his father called a kind hearted kid into someone who was a total pervert, who at a point in his heart he knew what he was doing was wrong. The writer also in the process of writing also sprinkled a little bit of horror in it, by showing how the Allosaurus Emily was linked to the Armitage history and what really made it to appear to the Armitage not just Dylan but his daughter.

I rated this book 3 out of 4 stars, they were a few mechanical errors which actually made reading it difficult but did not affect it in any way, also they were repetition of words which really got me confused, until I found out that it was just a mistake, also the writer was mentioning names of dinosaurs with really emphasizing on them, like he didn't differentiate the herbivores from carnivores and can make people quite confused because not everybody knows every dinosaur by name, but it really somehow made it quite exciting, but besides all this it is a very fascinating, top rated sci-fi novel which should not be overlooked, and which is brilliance cannot be over rated.

Goodness, this is such a technical read! From what I gather, this is a sci-fi about a time in life when dinosaurs and humans co-exist. I trust that lovers of this genre will find it brilliant, with all the plots and subplots of the real vs. imaginary lives of Dylan a human and Emily an Alosaurus. Thanks for this review!

Yes, but it isn't too technical it's quite entertaining to be exact and when you start you really can't put the book down
