I too read and reviewed this, and though I loved it, I agree that due to the simplicity, it's really on applicable for a very tiny segment; still young readers ARE readers [to be], so this one seems a great place for them to start!

Sounds like a very interesting story. Toni is a good role-model for kids.

You are welcome to check out my review of the same book on viewtopic.php?f=114&t=77092&start=15
I think it’s a great asset of the book to present a character that’s relatable but also can be looked up to. I read and commented on your review, thank you for providing the link, it’s very interesting to read another perspective on the same book.

It’s definitely a great book to start but I think some more advanced readers in the target age segment could get bored. However, the book has so many achievements that this is just a minor detail.
Please link to your review, I’d love to read your perspective on the book.

Totally! I wish this encourages kids to help out with chores because it’s a common battle for parents.
Thanks for your comment!

I think this is a very helpful book for children; more than most people realize. It has so many valuable life lessons like the importance of appreciating diversity and helping around the house no matter what gender the child is. I think this is a very important teaching about gender equality.

Great review! Sounds like a good book! My daughter is way over the intended age range, but I'm tempted to read it myself!

I loved this cute book. You make some great points on the sentences and how children learn. Great review.

Your review is flawless! I like the way you exaggerate the importance of the author's approach in important subjects, especially on the use of an African-American characters.

I always enjoy a good superhero novel, and this one seems to be a different kind of superhero novel. A kid with superpowers is new for me. Thanks for your valuable review.

Tony sounds like a very exemplary kind of hero to his agemates. I like that the target audience can relate to him. Great review.
