I loved the scene where he had Christmas lunch with the family. It was one of the few times that I thought Davis was actually quite humble.
I loved your review! Thanks so much :)
Thank you! :D

Great review. I did not like this book. I felt like Davis wanted sympathy and he did not get any from me. He kept insisting that he did not commit the crime but he did they just had the wrong drug. He also had proof of this but he fled the country.

I am not sure I would be able to get through this book taking into consideration the frustrating choices Davis his made. Sounds like a fast-paced and interesting book, though. Thanks for the thorough review.

I know what you mean. I felt he could have expressed more remorse for his drug dealing. Thank you for your comment.

Thank you for your well written review. I'm glad that you got a greater appreciation of freedom by reading this book, but I'm a bit sad you didn't feel more sympathy for the character. I do understand his criminal/drug dealing past is off-putting to most people though. I may have to give this one a read :)

What an exhaustive review! I too liked the experiences that he had during his travel across Latin America. The woman giving birth to a baby and then carrying on with the travel seemed quite mind-numbing.

I just want to add that this book is only for a mature reader, because of the harsh scenes that you've already mentioned. Thanks for the review.
