Review of Ellie Ment and the Material Matter
This book was very easy to read and understand. This was written for the appropriate age group and was not overly complicated.
I did think it was a slight bit long for the information.
Other than that, it was good.
The characters that were created and used in the book had interesting names. The title of the book also was interesting in that it was a pun on what the book was about.
This book is definately for the age group that it was intended for not an older group of readers.
The book is a play on words that can and does draw the reader in. An example is the title, using the word element, does a pretty good job a letting the reader know what this book might be about., to perhaps give the reader an idea or thought of the content.
For young readers this book will definitely draw them in with the word and the whole story line, making the content easy to understand and to absorb.
This book does not give overly detailed examples or too much detail when describing things and that is appropriate for the age group intended.
As an adult I had no idea really what this book was going to be about. I just picked it since it was offered. I did not read it all in one sitting and i read other books while also reading this one. I had to make myself come back to it. This was really not my type of everyday reading book. I usually will not pick this type of book to read just as a passing reading pick or a beach or summer read. However, this might be easy reading for a summer read for the age group intended since it is not too scholarly.
Thank you
