Toni The Superhero, when he is not too busy saving the world, is really a super good boy. He takes us on a tour of his life, and we get to see the things he likes doing. He is a super hero who lives quite a normal life, playing with his friends and helping out at home. He is a fun loving superhero who also does chores, something parents and children will find very useful.

Toni The Superhero is a great book. It is written primarily for the young audience, children who are just learning to read, although it can still be read by the adults who want to satisfy their inner child :) . The words are simple, repetitive and not too hard and the pictures are bright. There is no overstretching, trying to fit in many things. All of this, coupled with a superhero who can fly, is what makes this such a great book.

This book works because of the simplicity of its lay-out. It brings out a positive vibe in anyone that opens it. While R.D. Base, the author of Toni The Superhero, may primarily have written it for the younger audience, parents will find it particularly useful too. What better way of getting the children to play with their friends or do chores around the house, than by having a superhero who does?

Toni The Superhero is not just any children’s book, it is written to be a companion and I am in no doubt that the child who gets a copy will treat the book as such, and the parent who buys it will have the joy and satisfaction of seeing their child guided into a life of reading by such a worthy superhero.

I give this book 4 out of 4 stars. The language used in it, is simple and understandable. The main character is sure to be engaging to so many children out there, seeing him do the things they can do. A superhero who can fly and sweep is an instant darling for both the parent and the child. The illustrations are also very simple, eye-catching and interesting. And that’s what sets this book apart, its simplicity gives it class.

There’s nothing not to like about this book and all dues then, must be given to R.D. Base, herself a mother of three, for giving us a gem like this. Toni The Superhero is a great book.

Fozia-Bajwa wrote: 30 Sep 2018, 00:23 I have read the review of the book Toni the Superhero by R.D Base. This story is revolving around a protagonist character of Toni. Toni is playing like a superhero in his imagination but actually, he is a child and doing the little activities. It is not a conventional story but an adventure for kids and children. Thanks for your great review Joe Hadithi.
He is a superhero for real! Only that because he is still young, he can't really go out and fight the evil guys. Thank you for reading my review Fozia-Bajwa :)
