The one thing I have yet to find about his book is why the title? Who was Margaret and what did she do in his life that was so profound that he would name the book after her? Thanks for your informative review though. It sounds like an intriguing book.

Thanks for the review, but even though the "gurus" aspect sounds interesting, I'm not interested in reading about someone's memories and the lessons learned.

In my experience, vicarious learning is the only alternative to personal experience, which is the painful way.

Spiritual growth and life lessons are my typical genre, so I can read and pass on to our Young Adult book club. I added to my interested in reading and seems very inspiring!

I like the way the author uses a humorous tone to put forward his story of personal growth.

Thank you for the great review.

This book teaches a big lesson to life, and that is, 'wealth is not happiness' but there can be happiness without wealth. Happiness comes from the spiritual state of a being.

"And then I met Margaret", is a book that gives prominence to gurus with little names but had a profound impact on the author's life.
I have read this book and it is such an inspiring piece of work.

This book seems quite inspiring. What better way to learn about life than from others. But learning from animals is what inspired me the most. Thanks for the wonderful review.

Sometimes there is a person that can inspire us in life and point us into a better direction. It would be interesting to read how the author has learned from those he consider to be his mentors.

The review is pretty enthusiastic and the book sounds interesting. I particularly like the fact that the author describes lessons he got from animals. I sometime believe that animals are better teachers of humane traits than humans themselves. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I have already reviewed this book. Though the name of the book is pretty much misleading, this is an interesting self-help book. Congratulations on being BOTD

From the review so far, it's going to be really educative reading the book, the play on words and adjectival description of happenings is second to none. Nice one.

I’m a fan of books that explore spiritual growth without getting too woo woo...and the sample makes me think this book might be of my preferred variety :) I like the premise of finding “unexpected” gurus, too. I think life is full of people with wisdom to share and I think I’d enjoy this book too!
