Master Speak Thy Servant Hears is a daily devotional that gives inspirational Bible quotes and commentary for a year. Each day of reading covers 2 pages. With 365 days in a year, that gives 730 pages for daily reading. This is perfect for people who want to spend some time with the Lord but don’t have a lot of time sometimes. Perfect for the first time in the morning. That way, you start the day with the Lord and each daily reading takes only about a minute or two. At the end of each day, he has a few Bible chapters to read that, if done every day, will help you read the entire Bible in one year. I would do the Bible readings nearer the end of the day. I would start the day with a daily reading of Master Speak and then end the day with the Bible readings. This way, you can start and end your day with God.
As far as grammar, the only thing that stood out to me was that Mr. Adeluwoye capitalizes job titles. I didn’t notice any other grammatical errors or typos. He seems to have done a fantastic job editing his book.
On a scale of 1-5, I would give this book a solid 5. It is well written and helps the reader develop a deeper relationship with God. It is simple and to the point. Mr. Adeluwoye writes the devotionals in a way that it seems as if God is speaking to you. No grand theological jargon, just a simple Bible verse and Adeluwoye’s comments. Even children would be able to follow along daily, so it’s perfect for the whole family.
I’m glad that I found this book. I can see myself using it over the next year and every year after. It is very inspirational and will help people grow closer to God.
