Nice review. It's always interesting to see new reading starters. I, also, would never want to undermine the intelligence of the youth but adding a lot of context, I think, confuses the objective of learning to read. It sounds like a good book more for a step two or more though. There is a reason Dick and Jane books are still around.

I agree with children looking up to someone older than them and I think the author made a good choice by making Toni slightly older.

Good review. This sounds like a wonderful book to help boost a younger reader's skills. It's great that it reinforces good behaviors as well. Too many kids are already seeing the bad influences on TV and online.

I read and did a review on this book. I really like the illustrations and I think this book is great for kids who are just learning how to read. Great job on your book review!

Thanks for the review. I recently reviewed this book and really liked it. I did enjoy the great illustrations that flowed with the text. They were bright, vivid and engaging. I would have to agree with you; this book is suited for the reader who is just starting to learn to read and for parents to read to younger children. I appreciated the author's inclusion of a message that children can learn from.

This is a great material for its appropriate target audience. The rich colors and easy words will definitely attract and sustain the interest of the children until the aim is achieved. Kudos to the author.

Thank you for your detailed review! It's clear you've read many a children's book. I love how you pointed out that kids love to look up to someone older, and that Toni is a bit older than the target children audience. Refreshing to see a book teaching moral values, too.

Great review! I think this would be a great book for children to teach them about responsibility and helping around the house. The illustrations looked very cute too.
