Review of Blessings Abound
I cannot recommend this uplifting book enough. It is not just a book for someone who is looking for a mindset that is more positive, but also for those who need to be reminded of the joys of simply being. I try to write down a positive phrase every single day. However, there are some days that I find myself unable to think of anything. This book reminds me that it is about having the right mindset. Finding joy is all about your perspective.
This book features an abundance of optimistic quotes that support the life lessons imparted by the authors to the reader. My favorite piece of wisdom that was shared is that outside factors can only bring temporary happiness. Experiencing true happiness is equivalent to being present in the moment. Another realization that this book revealed to me was that controlling your mind is where true power lies. A positive mindset can not only overcome adversity, but it also reveals how much you can grow through the trials you face.
This book uses scriptures from the Bible to reinforce the teachings. There is a whole section that talks about God and how powerful prayers are. The blessings also include teachings from Native American and Irish cultures. I love that the authors made this book for such a wide variety of people. Anyone could relate to the practices in this collection of stories. Every page is a new enlightenment that brings me happiness.
I am giving this book a rating of 5 out of 5. I could not find a single error or negative thing to say about this book. It blew me away with how much it opened my eyes. I was honestly sad when I finished reading the book. It taught me that I can control my thoughts. The more positive I am, the more beauty I see in the world. I will follow another lesson in the book tonight and count my blessings instead of sheep.
