Your review is awesome, thanks! I'm a historical fiction lover and would really like to experience the exchange between the past and modern couples in relation to the painting in question. But the fact that it is more of a romantic book than actual historical fiction has dampened my enthusiasm for it. I'll have to pass on this one.

Your review make this story seem to have a thick plot which I like. I think I can see myself enjoy this read because it has a bit of everything in it. There seem a mystery tone in the side of the missing picture and a hearty romance. Good review!

Re: Review by greenstripedgiraffe -- THE GIRL WHO KNEW DA VINCI

Intriguing suspense of this novel captivates me! I have been fascinated by the WWII plunder of art treasures by Nazis that has been a recent focus of several novels as well as The Monuments Men movie. This novel seems to bring life to that era and setting. Introduction of the dual time frame allows the story to move into the efforts and complications of restitution . Fabulous.

Throw in relational conflicts and romance and it's a story made for this reader! Thanks for the enticing review.

I agree with you completely! I had no idea that it was a romance either and I was throughly surprised and delighted. I'll be the first to admit that I am not the biggest fan of historical fiction, but Ami added a creative spin by adding in a present-day character that adds a whole new dimension that I have never seen in another book before. This review was very detailed and well written, thank you!

This is a romance book, and in this book, Angela's dreams tell of secret lovers, a secret marriage and violent death. Thank you for the good review.

From the book cover, I had assumed it was a historical fiction and hence, had desisted from reading it. However, your review has taken me by surprise since this has turned out to be a romance novel. Judging by your review, the plot is an amalgamation of both romance and historical fiction and is a light read. Looking forward to reading it over the weekend! Thanks for your review!

Thanks for the detailed review. This book has all the elements that comprise a good romantic mystery novel filled with excitement, love, hidden secrets and a great plot. Although I was looking for more in focus on the mystery aspect of this book, the romance was pretty good.

Romance is not my genre either but it's good to hear this one has some intrigue and adventure between different time periods. Decent character portrayal is definitely another strength of this book. Great review.

So it's a mystery! I'm a fan of this kind of stories. It got me hooked from the very first pages. Though it looks like ala Dan Brown's novels, my opinion now is different. I like that the characters has very distinctive roles. I'll continue reading this one :D

This review is quite clear on the up sides and down sides of the novel. From the book's title, my initial instinct was that the book is more of historical than anything else, so I'm surprised to read that it's actually more of a romance novel. It sure would be a good read for lovers of romantic stints, but a let down for those who maybe would have wanted to understand a different perspective of life during DaVinci's time.

Aww that hurt! I was very excited to read and review this book, thinking it was mostly a crime thriller. However even as a romance, I hope I will enjoy the book. The concept of introducing the history of past life seemed to have added to the mysteries and I am looking forward to reading this as soon as possible!
