Great review and very honest. I like romance books but this one might be a little difficult to get through with everything that happens to the characters and the way that they were abused. Unfortunately these awful things happen in real life and I do not know if I could read this book for fun. Thank you for your honest review, I will take it into consideration before reading this book.

I really liked how you have made that comparison to a lotus flower. I have always been trying to stay away from Heartaches after I read all the negative reviews around it. However, you mention that erotic scenes have been contained within a paragraph and there's nothing too extreme. So, maybe, I could give this a shot.

Wow. Thanks a lot for this book review. It is wonderful. I love the statement that Rafe is comparable to a lotus flower that sprouts and grows in dirty water but is able to remain clean. It is true that on can be born into and raised up in certain backgrounds but these must not necessarily make one to behave in a way that goes with the conditioning.
