That is quite true! But I wish more authors would concentrate on increasing the quality of the story instead of the word count. Thank you for dropping by and commenting!

It is quite good for a debut novel. I hope you'll try it out. Thanks for your comments!Ginnamassa19 wrote: ↑28 Jun 2018, 11:06 Ooh, I've seen other reviews of this book and most of them rated it pretty high as well From your description and the others' opinions, it does seem like a good read (although it's a pity about the verbosity/repetitiveness of it, although I guess that can't be helped--it is a debut novel after all)! Thank your for your detailed review, I thought it was really helpful

Well, the book is not for everyone. Thank you!Bonnie Shelby wrote: ↑19 Jul 2018, 14:22 Awesome review! I like that there was humor mixed in with what I thought would be a serious read. I'm afraid the repetitive and wordy aspects would annoy me, though, so I think I'll pass on this one.

I bet he had a ball! No one can write a book as good as this one without enjoying it. Thank you for passing by!Eryn Bradshaw wrote: ↑19 Jul 2018, 16:52 Oh, a guy love novel! Seems like a great novel with two great friends. I love that the book is based on the author's father's experiences. That must have been fun for him to write. Thanks for the review!

Greg did a great job creating imaginary scenes in the reader's mind with the help of James and Jack.
Well developed story and educative as well.
If you want to be remembered long after you are gone, WRITE books worth READING or DO things worth WRITING about...

I only like books about the military if they include other themes as well, such as romance, mystery etc. And you are absolutely right, Kater outdid himself. Thanks for dropping by!

Kater's love for Australia and its people was most certainly clear throughout the book. Thank you so much for your thoughtful and kind comment. It means a lot.Anna Maria 86 wrote: ↑05 Feb 2019, 00:58 I totally agree on the point about accents, and about friendship. I loved seeing how Jacko and Jamie become friends. I guess you are also right about dragging last chapters. It was a bit stretched, but as Australia is quite mysterious for me, I actually enjoyed reading that part as much as the beginning of the book. Besides, I think the author, being Australian, wanted people to learn a bit more about his country, cause I bet I'm not the only one who finds it mysterious. Thanks for the review! Loved it how detailed you made it, must have done your homework of taking notes while reading Well done!
