Farmgurl1 wrote: 14 May 2018, 08:53 In summary, I think the book would appeal to readers who are looking for a light and fun book that is not overly complex. The story is about family secrets, infidelity, murder and also has lots of good humor throughout. The characters keep the story moving and it’s one of those books once you start reading you can’t put it down. I also plan to go back and read the prequel to this book Pocket Dial because it will shed more light on Jennifer’s personality.
Sometimes I feel like this is exactly the kind of book I need: an engrossing but light-hearted story. I enjoy trying to solve mysteries and I love stories that deal with secrets. The witty, humorous dialogues are a big plus.
Seems like a great read and it's going to my to-read shelf. Thank you for your review.

this book is a thriller sort of crime based on how a lady finds out how her father died. I love this book, it doesn't have too much plot twist.

Thanks for the review. It sounds like Jennifer is a little like one of my other favorite characters, Stephanie Plum. Can't wait to read this book.

I already read this book's prequel and I really liked how it was written. Author is very well-versed in creating captivating crime thriller and in language usage with which books are easily understandable even for not native English.

From a sampling, this book had many interesting and classic crime/mystery elements. While it makes the reader want to read the prequel, it works well as a stand alone. Well done.

The humor between Jennifer and Kat seems out of place, given a plot where Jennifer's mother may be guilt of killing her father, after twenty years in a bad marriage. Thanks anyway for the review.
Interested in books that help one's spirit move beyond the ordinary.

An engaging thriller centred around dark themes but with light undertones - this book is definitely worth checking out. Thanks for the review.

Jennifer’s mother's must have really disliked her husband for her daughter to think she was a culprit. You give a very nice quick summary of the book. Good job!

I like your review and I am glad that you enjoyed this book so much. I like that this book was different from the typical mystery genre in that there is comedy. I think that Jennifer and her friend Kat trying to figure out who killed Jennifer's father reminds me a little of Nancy Drew. I do agree that the police shouldn't have asked Jennifer for help in their investigation.

I love the sound of this book. I don’t typically enjoy fiction too much, but I do love a good laugh, and the comic relief that this book is supposed to have sounds too good to pass up. I’m definitely putting this on my To-Read list.

The story seems really unique of its kind as it bemuses the audience a number of times which is not in murder mystery novels

Would download and read it definitely
