Who Told You That You Were Naked by William E. Combs takes an in-depth look at the events which took place at the Garden of Eden. By using Bible verses, the author gives his own interpretations at some possibilities of what Adam and Eve could have been thinking and going through.

It tells the story of Adam and Eve and their relationship with God, right up to their encounter with the serpent, and the concenquences for all mankind. The story demonstrates the limit of human perception in contrast to all the wonders and mercies of God. The book also takes an in-depth look at other people in the Bible, who had sinned and fallen short of the grace of God.

The author William E. Combs, who is a retired minister, comes up with his own interpretation of Scripture to help the reader deepen his or her understanding of the Word. The author's clever writing style emphasises the importance and significance of the story. Furthermore the author includes study questions at the end of each chapter and this serves to help the reader to go deeper into the Word and to apply the questions within their own walk of faith.

We have most of us heard of the story of the first man and woman that God created but by reading this book I found my imagination expanding as to the exact way things may have played out in the Garden of Eden. I especially enjoyed how the story of Adam and Eve was told and how the author brought out points which made it all the more clearer. The book is well written and the characters well introduced. I found it to be very helpful and very inspirational. The story was well paced and enjoyable to capture the imagination of any reader willing to try out this genre. The only fault I may have found in this book is that it didn't disclose at the beginning that it is only an illustration from the author.

All in all I found the book to be a great read for those who have a good grasp of their faith but it maybe hard to understand by those that are new or unfamiliar with Christ. I would like to give it a 4 out of 4 stars as there were practically no errors throughout. I recommend it to readers who like religious books filled with inspiration and growth.
