Toni The Superhero
by R.D Base

The author of the book is from northern Maryland she dedicated 'Toni the superheroā€¯ to her family. Toni the superhero is one of a planned series for young children. Toni is a normal everyday boy that helps around the house he even takes time to spend with his friends. He thinks he has superhero powers. In the book he is seen wearing a superhero outfit, he is seen flying through the air. Toni has an active imagination when he is with his friends he appears normal when he is on his own the superhero appears. Toni has a positive outlook and is confident in himself.

I think the artwork is well done. The coloring is vibrant throughout, which every young child loves. The book helps very small children to have self-confidence and have a positive outlook on life. The book does not have a plot, however, it is a tool for young children to start learning to read. The fact that Toni is pictured as a "little superhero" is inspiring to young children. They look up to him and want to be like him. He is a superhero, but he does everyday things and activities that any person would do. This is good because small children will also be able to do these small things that the superhero does.

The book is very repetitive, but that's just my opinion even though the script was repetitive the book was made easy to read and learn, by adding full-size pictures of a superhero made it fun and interesting.
I gave this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. The book was well done! The fact that it had pictures of the hero doing tasks as well as having short sentences makes it easy for a pre-schooler to understand and learn to read. Even though it did not have a storyline, I never gave it 2-stars because I found no faults.

Having given the book a rating of 4. I would say it is worth the purchase. It helps young minds develop; This book could be read over and over again.

I would say the book is well suited to pre-schoolers although, there is no plot it has short sentences; with full-size pictures of a superhero doing all sorts of things, making it easy for them to learn, read and have fun at the same time. Toni the superhero is not suited to any school-going children, the book is too easy.
