Who Told You That You Were Naked is a thought provoking look at your own spirituality as well as your personal relationship with God. The author Reverend William Comb delves deep into scripture, language meanings from when it was written verses the language meanings today. This process gives clearer meaning to the Scripture. Reverend Combs boils confusing scripture into clear and concise messages.
I was transported in time to the Garden of Eden. Of course most know the story but Reverend Combs made the story come alive. He took me there to witness Adam and Eve in the Garden. The tranquility and beauty that the saw and felt. Just as I was relaxed and feeling very safe and secure, Combs jumped into my mind and read some of my most personal inner thoughts. I was immediately self conscious and uncomfortable in my own skin.
Thankfully Reverend Combs exited my mind and began explaining (with scripture) why I have these personal inner thoughts. Why I sometimes feel insecure or inadequate. He explained (again through scripture) how these thought keep me from having the close relationship with God that I want. As I read the book and began understanding, I felt closer to God. Reverend Combs ventured many other areas in the bible as well as other Biblical figures. Cain, Able, Moses, Jesus and many others. The uncanny ability to jump in and out of my mind through out the entire book was unsettling, yet eye opening. I believe the eye opening was his intent with this book
I now have a better understanding of having faith. I am grateful that Reverend Colmbs decided to write this book. I loved that he took the time to explain that what I had believed to be next to impossible, is actually readily achievable. Not only achievable, but simple. Not necessarily easy, but very simple. If you have ever thought that your thoughts don't matter, Think again! Thoroughly enjoyed the authors in sight on every day common issues as well as the examples he included from his life and others. Clearly shows where the way you think can change your circumstances.
Reverend Combs has done a magnificent job with this book. The research and studying had to be mind numbing! I believe this is a great book for anyone that wants a closer relationship with God, or a deeper understanding of what having faith inod actually means. It is also perfect for anyone that is simply curious to know what Christianity is all about. I give this book 4 out of 4 stars!
