Ravens Peak by Lincoln Cole is a supernatural thriller about two characters from two different backgrounds who come together to save the town of Ravens Peak. The first character, Abigail Dressler is searching for her adoptive father who disappeared under supernatural circumstances a few months before. Abigail having been possessed herself and having no memory of it, Is considered damaged by the secret organisation which she works for. But despite all that, she has been assigned to track down a demon hiding inside of a man named George Wertman and send it back to hell. While tracking and following George, Abigail comes across Haatim and saves his life.

Haatim Arison was bored, and looking for some inspiration for something to write about on his blog at the library, when George Wertman approached and hired him to take photos of a mysterious woman who was stalking him as evidence for the police. Haatim without much thought accepts the offer and starts following George while taking pictures of the woman. One night, while following the woman into an alley Haatim becomes witness to the murder of George. And shortly after he is pursued by demons who seem out of his blood. Having seen too many shocking and unbelievable things, Haatim passes out in his car and wakes up to find himself back at his apartment, with the woman he was following fixing breakfast. And that's how he meets Abigail.

The two of them team up and make an unlikely pair, as they rush against time to save the small town of Ravens Peak from a demonic threat. Lincoln Cole does an amazing job delivering this supernatural thriller, he creates characters whom we come to care for and root for. This true page-turner, carries a thought out plot to keep the reader active in his or her reading. The story is fast paced, action packed and exciting with well-rounded characters.

I was drawn in by the story as it touched on matters of religion and spirituality. At the beginning of the story, Haatim had lost his faith but the supernatural events which he encounters force him to look deeper within himself and get his priorities in order. We also get to experience the grief of both characters as one loses a father and another loses a sister. And that's not all there is, the book has sardonic humour and realistic dialogue.

With all that said I give the book a healthy 4 out of 4 stars because it was well edited. I noticed very few errors. It was an easy read and the ending was effective. I would like to recommend it to readers of all ages as there were no graphic scenes and no strong language. So for those readers who love intrigue, action, religion and the supernatural this is your pick.
