Crime is an ingredient in almost every society today. The criminals carefully calculate their moves before their erroneous actions, thus making it difficult to be traced. However, the authorities never tire of picking every piece they can get to fill the puzzle of tracing these criminals and bringing them to justice.

In this book, clients contract Edwin Steelside to investigate crimes privately. On a simple look, some of these crimes are merely accidents, but Ed's analysis proves the opposite. An actress is shot by a real bullet on stage at Ed's watch on a particular occasion. Ed is assigned to investigate how a loaded gun found its way into the play and who was behind the murder, after which other assignments of more gravity and complications wait for him. Can Ed solve these crimes?

Bennett's expertise in designing and narrating the story is worth applause. The book contains four crimes that Ed has to solve, and I realized the complexity of the investigation increased from the first to the last. This feature made the book interesting to read. The crime elements in the book are my favourites because of the tension effect they create. It is satisfying to follow how the crimes are unravelled.

Edwin Steelside Searching Out the Devil reflects a real-life society engulfed in crime. It also highlights the unrelenting sacrifice investigators make to bring criminals to justice. Moreover, it allows individuals to understand tricks criminals use, such as fake accidents and nicknames, thus putting them on high alert so they do not fall into this trap.

As much as I liked the book, it could have been more interesting if the author could have connected the four crime investigations in the book. At least have a secret criminal behind all four incidences because I felt the four were separate stories. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed the book. The editing was meticulously done, and I have no solid justification not to give the book a perfect rating. Therefore, I rate Edwin Steelside Searching Out the Devil by Bradford Bennett 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend the book to lovers of crime fiction.

Lover of crime fiction: check! Happy with such an interesting book being a free book of the day. I look forward to reading about the 4 crimes to be solved - it does not matter to me that they are not linked in some way.

I'm not a fan of crime fiction; however, after reading the review, the book sounds quite interesting . I'm curious to see how Ed solves the four crimes!

Despite the fact that they are four separate crime stories, each has a profound and worth information to help the leader grasp the crime clearly. The author has indeed done a great job worth reading the scripts searching out the devil who comes in different forms into our lives

Four investigations of realistic crimes that show real tricks used by criminals. The tale of Edwin "Ed" Steelside's work seems well constructed and offers some food for thought about what's behind detective works and the problems caused by criminals to society. Thank you for your great review!

Edwin Steelside Searching out the Devil by Bradford Bennett. This is the criminal investigation of a shooting in a theatre play. Props were swapped to commit a brutal murder of a lead actress. Great detective work showcased.

Crime has become a major problem for most countries of the world today.
It can even be said that the crime cases even outnumber the detectives and security agents, this has become a growing concern.
The author used the book to enlighten the reades about the strategies and tactics criminals use and how the are tackled by security operatives.
Congratulations to the author for designing and narrating the story in an applaudable manner and getting a 5 out of 5 stars rating from the reviewer.
I will recommened the book to detective who will learn a few things from Edwin's investigations
