Matthias Callaghan is attacked and mutilated by the Russian mafia. The Russian mafia were looking for his father, Matthias Callaghan, who was in debt to them and had squandered all the inheritance left for him by his father, Matthias Callaghan. Notice how I have blundered and repeated a couple of nouns and names? Well, the thing is, this family of men all have the same names, from Matthias Callaghan I to Matthias Callaghan III. All three men have a role to play in this book but understand that the protagonist here is Matthias Callaghan III, and it is his story that these two books are about to tell because he sets out to take revenge on all his enemies. Many people are responsible for his situation and have wronged him in one way or another. In his misfortune, Matthias finds fortune and uses it to his advantage. I suggest you read it and find out more on your own.

I found the contents of this book very fascinating. The author presents certain topics that align with the fields of medicine and healthcare and presents them with immense accuracy. I got to learn about plastic surgery and facial transplants, and these concepts were very appealing to me. In a part of the book, I learned about the three types of facial transplants and the most effective, and when I researched them, the information checked out. The editing of this book is perfectly done, with no errors whatsoever present throughout its entire pages. I appreciate the author for ensuring that the book is well edited. Another aspect of this book I liked was its nature as a crime thriller and mystery. I enjoyed the parts where Barker was trying to put two and two together to uncover the mystery of Callaghan in Switzerland.

Callaghan, vol. 1 & 2 by Kim Ekemar, is worth a perfect rating, so I rate both books 5 out of 5 stars on that note. There was nothing I didn't like in the entire book, and because I enjoyed everything about it, it is only appropriate that both books get a perfect rating. I recommend this book to fans of crime thrillers and fast-paced plots because it will draw them in and beg them to want more as they delve further, or at least that's what it did to me.
