Jacksel’s book, A Christian Life...Connected, addresses the notion of having a Christian life that is closely connected with religion, humanity, and personal experiences. Jacksel talks about his insights on numerous areas of life, including religion, leadership, love, death, and bravery. He also talks about incidents from his life that helped develop his concept of religion and of the world around him. This includes accidents, injuries, and periods of deep contemplation.

Throughout the book, Jacksel interweaves his personal life experiences with wider observations on Christian beliefs. He narrates his contacts with people from diverse walks of life, such as the homeless guy he meets on the street and the persons he encounters throughout his travels. These personal experiences are used to demonstrate the significance of compassion, connection, and understanding in living a genuinely Christian life. The author also talks about some philosophical issues, such as the nature of time and the mind's link to the body, as well as giving ideas on religion, bravery, and leadership.

I like many aspects of this book. One of the most appealing aspects of this book is how personal it is. People learn better from people's experiences than from mere lists of instructions. Jacksel's narration is vivid and based on personal experiences, which makes his discussion on religion more applicable and meaningful. There are a lot of ideas in his narration. From his childhood mishaps, his opinions on flying aircraft, to the way he addresses occasions of adversity, there are lessons to learn. This book does not preach but rather challenges me and you, or perhaps, readers, to reflect consciously and carefully about their own lives and how they are connected to their religion and ideals.

Another aspect of the book that I enjoy is the author’s honest and simple writing style. Jacksel is not hesitant to confess his shortcomings or disclose his moments of vulnerability. This screams authenticity. The experiences are typically presented with a hint of humor and humility. Moreover, the themes of love, courage, and leadership are given adequate attention in the narrative. There is not a single aspect of this book that I dislike. While reading this book, I didn't notice any error, which shows that it was exceptionally well-edited.

For the reasons I outlined above, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to anybody searching for a contemplative, down-to-earth view on how spirituality connects with daily life.
